Youth Center

Rev. Wm. Lemoyne, Mayor John Sherman, former Assemblyman Robert D’Andrea, Joanne Sciurba, Rev. David Buchanan, Pat Hayes, and Kevin Burch are founding members of the Youth Center. It was originally developed to provide a place for the youth of the Village of Schuylerville to engage in various recreational activities under adult supervision. The initial funding for this project ($40,000) was obtained through Sen. Joseph Bruno’s office.

Numerous organizations use the facility for youth activities. These include, but are not limited too, Little League, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, and Schuylerville Family Day. In the power outage of 2007 the Youth Center served as a Warming Site, providing residents with a place to have a hot lunch and stay warm.
